    Really beautiful crystal opal and old cut diamond ring, the ring is stamped 18k for gold content and has gorgeous carved design on the shoulders. The opal has only light surface wear and conserves a lot of luster, it has a pinkish body transparency and has a predominantly aqua color play with greens, reds and yellow in between. It is very vibrant in person, in the last couple of photos it is shown  in different light conditions. 

    Dimensions: Weights 4.14 grams, face up is 14.4mm by 12.4mm , size is 6 currently and it is sizeable.

    Stones: Opal measures 10.5 x 8.1 x 3.35 mm and is estimated 1.56ct, Diamonds are well matched old mine cuts approx. 0.50CTW and G-I VS2-SI2 average, clean and white, super sparkly! 

    Condition: The opal has only light surface wear, the diamonds are set securely, some of the prongs holding the opal have thinned out due to the age of the ring but the ring has been inspected and the opal is tight and in place, however I have considered this aspect in the price of the ring. The opal could be reset and the prongs rebuilt ( again, my bench did not think it is necessary).
