ANTIQUE SPLIT PEARL AND ROSE CUT DIAMOND MOURNING RING

This ring captivated me even thought I am not a expert in this type of jewelry. To the best of my knowledge this is a Georgian mourning ring (feel free to educate me if otherwise) containing a locket like compartment in the back that may have been filled in the past, but the glass is no longer there, easy to replace if you'd like. The ring has a puffy oval rose cut diamond in the center, collet set with natural pearls in the surround, carved  shoulders with leaf like motifs, and it is in very good condition. 

This ring is a 5 3/4 size, and it is not marked but tests 18k gold, the ring faces 12.7mm x 10.8mm diamond faces 4mm x 2.8mm and it's a clean and white stone.
