0.70CTW ANTIQUE DIAMOND CRESCENT / HEART NECKLACE CONVERSION

This lovely necklace started it's life as a brooch, but if you know me I can't resist to make necklaces out of antique brooches, especially the ones with cute motifs! I have seen this particular design a few rare times and it I love what it represents. I was also excited when upon examining the diamonds on the microscope I found that it has rose cuts ( on the very edges) single cuts for the smaller diamonds ( 8 crown facets) and the rest are rare rounded mazarin cuts with 17 crown facets that from a sort of star, I love finding rare cuts even if they are small, just a fun fact of this particular piece. To the eye the diamonds are extremely white, clean and they all catch the light beautifully.

Dimensions: Length of the necklace is 18 inches, weights 4 grams, the crescent itself measures  48mm from side to side or just short of 2 inches across. The brooch wasn't marked but it's crafted in silver, the the necklace is a fine made in Italy oval link with lobster clasp  14k white gold.

Gemstones: Mix of rose, single and mazarin cut diamonds, weight calculated between 0.68ct and 0.72ct total, white G-I color average and VS1-SI1 average clarity, just stunningly white stones for the period.
