EDWARDIAN CEYLON SAPPHIRE AND MINE CUT DIAMOND RING

Fabulous Edwardian period sapphire ring  with a 2.2ct Ceylon  not heat sapphire certified by the GCS lab in london, a very reputable lab for colored stones. The ring has a halo of approximately 1.8ctw of chunky mine cut diamonds, ranging from J-K color and mostly vs1-si1 clarity except for one stone which is si2-i1, all appear clean to the eye.

The ring faces 16.8mm by 12.9mm and it is made of 18k yellow gold with the diamonds set on platinum claws.

Currently a size 6, can be sized. Light wear on the sapphire facets which is otherwise transparent ( no visible inclusions) with very even color. I like this stone because it is not overly deep like most sapphires can be, hence facing larger than what a 2.2ct sapphire would usually face, looks more like a 3.5ct stone.
