Vintage 18k mixed color gold bangle made in the style of famous Buccellati designs. The bangle's surface is engraved using the "rigatto" technique in which parallel lines are engraved into the surface of gold using an engraving tool, the result is a textile like look that offers a distinctive "sheen" to the piece, the bangle also has a hinge which makes it easy to put on and take off, this hinge is also nearly identical to the ones used in the designer's bangles.
The bangle features 1.42ctw of brilliant cut diamonds bead set in contrasting white gold forming star shaped motifs, G-H VS quality diamonds.
It weights a delicious 41 grams, stamped <750> inside for 18k gold content.
The inside circumference of the bangle is approximately 6.5 inches, but the bangle can be bent open slightly, as is it fits my 5.5 inch wrist with a lot of give but it does not "flip" over. The bangle shows light wear throughout. Amazing bangle and a complete bargain.
